Morrison, Colorado, which is located in the Rooney Valley, west of the Denver metro area, has some of the most interesting geology in the region. Incredible rock formations and colored strata, as well as dinosaur tracks and fossils, can be seen in Red Rocks Park and Dinosaur Ridge.
